Even the cake was animal themed!!
The pictures don't show it that well but every gift I opened was such a shock to me! I was so happy that everyone was so kind to us, it's such a blessing.
Jesse couldn't wait to start putting everything together. Trouble couldn't wait to start destroying the boxes and making a mess! Jesse had A LOT of fun putting everything together. Tonight he put together the jumperoo, the swing, and the floor play mat. The swing is my favorite I think. It makes animal noises, rain sounds, plays two different songs, and has several other features. Our baby is so spoiled!

The baby's room
On Labor Day Jesse and I painted the baby's to look like a jungle/safari type place. I wasn't sure it would look good and how I wanted it to look, but I'm VERY pleased with how it turned out. The sister missionaries helped us with the painting of the ceiling so I wouldn't have to try and balance on a ladder for several hours. It was fun trying to explain how I wanted them to paint the ceiling when I wasn't exactly sure of how to do it!
The before shot...

Almost done...
The final product!!!
It's hard to see but the vines have monkeys hanging on them and the second picture is of elephants walking up a hill.

I've been tagged...You have to use 3 words to answer each question. No more, no less. It's harder than you think.

Teaching
I have been teaching since the 13th at Cumberland Elementary. At first I didn't know how I was going to do it, but it's getting better every day. I have 6 students who are all very unique and fun in their own way. The kids are very loving and teach me things all the time. I know my patience has become a lot stronger in the short time I've worked with these kids. Even though they can be challenging I know that their spirits are gentle and sweet. I feel so great at the end of the day, even on tough days, knowing that I've done something good in the lives of these kids.
This week we went to the public library on the city bus. For all of my students it was their first time riding the city bus. It was a lot of fun to see how excited they got when the bus stopped for us and how well they sat on the bus. One little girl keeps asking me every morning, "Bus today? Ride city bus?", so I think we'll be taking the bus at least once a week some place in town.
