Ultrasound #2

At the last two appointments the doctor said the baby was measuring small so she ordered a second ultrasound. I wasn't too worried about it because the baby has always measured smaller. Plus Jesse and I aren't exactly the biggest people in the world!

During the ultrasound we found out a few things:

1. Our baby has hair. This might not sound like a lot, but I was bald until 14 months so if my baby is born with hair I'll be surprised!

2. Our baby weighs about 4.5 pounds. The baby is in the 60th percentile for being 33 weeks gestation. This means that our baby is doing fine and we have nothing to worry about. Plus with the baby being petite now the technician said she bets our baby will be 6.5 or 7 pounds at birth. I think that sounds very nice!

3. Our baby has the chubbiest cheeks! Jesse had VERY chubby cheeks as a baby and it looks like our little one is going to take after Daddy.

4. Jesse wants to know what the gender is when the baby is born so you'll know when we know. The baby kept wiggling his/her fingers so it looked like they were waving at us. It was SO cute!!
The baby was very active during the ultrasound. He/she kept swaying their arms back and forth like they were dancing. It was fun to see how active a baby can be in a tight area.
Here it is, the world's chubbiest cheeks!! While the technician was trying to take some face shots the baby kept putting his/her arm up by his/her head. Just above the nose you can see the arm, thumb, and part of the hand. Jesse thinks the baby has my nose and I think the baby has his chin and cheeks.

How fun! I bet that was so nice to get to see him/her when they're a little bigger/more developed and active. You only have a month and a half left!!! Crazy!
